Computer Security

I have had only Dell PCs since 1995. I went on vacation & used library computers & when I returned to FL, I had forgotten my computer PW. Neither Dell nor Microsoft could get me on my own Dell PC. Only Geek Squad could with no PW at all. Why is it that anyone who knows my email name can get on to any one of my accounts by stating "forgot PW" & changing my PW? Especially when the PW's are connected to any accounts that... more »

Manipulation; pathology

Perhaps we shouldn't allow children hero status in schools as they claim they KNOW better than adults in complex nuanced politics. I think children prefer people to have everything they need whether there is any reason why we do or don't based on variety of kingdoms at our expense. Perhaps your chiefs and captains shouldn't go talk to bishops with agendas in how you guys behave going forward and how hard you prosecute... more »

Please help

What to do if my spouse set me and children up for a foreign trip, promised to send us support and money to return to the U.S. but as we expected and waited for the money he promised for support and our return,he said that Philippines is where you belong you stay there and he would never answer or support for a long time and he accused me of kidnapping while he lives with a mistress and plundered our undivided marital... more »

Defunding the police!?

Sooooo, why don't you flex on the public with public service announcements by meeting a few people on the golf course, get an audience with your public broadcast community having met the news anchors/CEOs, and the have these news anchors read your public service announcements as a Marine Corps drill instructor would have you read it to make sure everyone know what to and not to do about the police...

Encourage those with disabilities to use their unique talents to detect threats and protect the homeland

Those with sight, hearing, or mechanical (walking/ambulating/amputations) impairments have a unique and important role to play in being the eyes and ears for safety in the disabled community. Criminals may look upon the disabled as easy targets, but the unique gifts that have been given these individuals (increased ability to hear and distinguish sounds for the blind), access to paraolympic and other disabled sports communities... more »

Unintended Bias

I was in the CBP Global Entry office in the Reagan Building in DC today and noticed something interesting. Along one wall were pictures of various CBP employees in action. On the other wall were examples of criminals apprehended by CBP. On the wall of employees, there were only two that might have been people of color, it was hard to tell. Only one woman. The wall of criminals had two people. Both of color and both Muslim.... more »

Implications of "just in time inventory systems" during a crisis

Many companies today use a kind of inventory system called "just in time inventory." Product use is measured over time, e.g. a year, to set inventory levels (e.g. month by month). The system reports on inventory "available" month by month. End users see only the amt available for the current month, not the total inventory on hand.

Real time inventory status is needed during a crisis.

Corona virus solution

There is no perfect balance between social distancing and keeping businesses viable. One seems to sacrifice the best aspects of the other. One idea hatched during the SARS epidemic but never implemented was a 'staggered seclusion week' which left businesses open 4 days a week using age distinctions i.e. Monday age 18-30. Wednesday age 31-45. Friday age 46-65
Saturday age 66 or more. This kept I. Between days for cleaning... more »

Community Paramedicine for Offensive Operations Against COVID19

We are on the defensive, waiting for our ICUs to be overrun by patients that are being allowed to deteriorate untreated at home until they become acute.

That is a losing strategy.

I propose we take the fight to the enemy before it reaches and overruns our base camps.

We do that with interdiction actions taken in the field...delivery of early onset care in the field utilizing Community Paramedicine.

Please see attached... more »

Terrorism in Biological Warfare

The absolute form of pandemic chaos is to use biological agents. Terrorist "bad actors" could easily affect the free world through very little effort. After 9/11 I wanted to get involved to do my part to help our USA. SMAT II Team out of NC was designed on the basis of Biological Incidence. I was the Chief Engineer and we first would deploy Mobile Hospital Units. The second thing we would perform was to investigate and... more »
