National Security

Hello,

Currently I am taking an anti terrorism centered degree but couldn't help to think that the real security issue for the United States is the government and companies. It takes more effort to realize that a person's thinking can be wrong and have negative effects. Political corruption has more impact on the security of a nation then terrorism. The United States isn't defined by the government but by the people.... more »

Portable applications of negative ions, UVC light and Far UVC light to reduce the airborne transmission of Covid-19

This idea concerns Covid-19. Since the Covid-19 campaign no longer exists here, I have no recourse but to post this idea, and many others, in the five current campaigns which still exist here.

It appears that DHS no longer reviews ideas that are submitted on this site. I hope they will disprove this assumption by communicating with me on each of my ideas and directly address any potential which they may have.

My idea... more »

Canadian Drug Suppliers are operating in border areas

https://weedmaps.com/deliveries/georgia-peach-delivery

Illegal drug delivery services, such as this one, are enticing Canadian youth to package, deliver, and sell drugs, to other youth, and are operating in areas that are well within range of our shared border. Of course some of these are making their way into US Markets.

To properly secure the border against such threats, I am recommending a proactive campaign of arrest... more »

Dealing with ANTIFA and other anarchist groups.

President Trump ran on the promise of restoring law and order to America. Anarchist groups like ANTIFA and BLM are on the rise, yet we have heard little from this administration about how they plan to deal with this growing scourge. These are lawless thugs who are bent on taking down America.
Having said that, I would like to see the DHS formulate a plan whereas the Army Reserve or National Guard could be deployed... more »

Secure our elections.Change the way we vote

The best way to secure the way we vote and that our votes are truly count. I believe it was Benjamin Franklin that came up with the way to collect national votes throughout our expanding nation was to use the Electoral voting system.Well, Ben is dead and our nation needs to be able to secure our way of political process that doesn't make our system into a Chutes and Ladders game. Technology uses apps from Google Playstore... more »

Exempt family members from travel restrictions

Exempt family members without the age and marital status status criteria. It is easy to document at border control with official paperwork, and it allow families to be reunited with their loved ones. Quarantine and testing could be imposed.

Denmark, Norway and Austria are successfully putting these loosen measures it in place in a safe matter, so I believe that the US could be just as successful.

DHS Should not be used against protesters. Congress should act to redefine DHS rules of conduct, use by executive, jurisdiction

It is wrong for DHS agents to be used as police to break up lawful protests, which are protected by US constitution. The events in Oregon underscore the fact the DHS actions there are being used as a partisan tool and not because of need. Specifically local officials never asked for DHS agents to "help" . In fact they want them to let them handle it. Remember states rights? . Conspicuously DHS has never been called to... more »

Return to Paper Ballots

Computer experts have identified vulnerabilities to our election process when using electronic methods. Voting machines can be programmed to flip votes to a specific candidate using a few second delay so the voter is unaware this has taken place, unless the voter goes back to review their entire ballot on the machine. Even in areas where paper ballots are used, scanning machines can be programmed to fractionalize or skip... more »

Prevent Employment Identity Theft

Imagine you get notified when someone applies for employment using your identity. This is similar to the credit bureaus' fraud alert. This enables you to be proactive before someone racks up a huge IRS bill and will help stop employment related identity theft.

If someone gets ahold of your name, social security number, and date of birth, they will pass e-verify and could get a job as if they were you. They will work... more »

Airport Coronavirus Screening for Overseas Passengers

Current overcrowding at the 14 airports designated for medical screening by the administration is both inefficient and potentially dangerous. "Social distancing" is impossible as passengers wait for hours in large groups. I suggest having passengers screened prior to boarding the aircraft or at the very latest, while aboard the aircraft. Medical screening (taking temps and asking questions) can be accomplished by anyone.... more »

Consider adding an amendment and resume visa issuance to spouses of Legal Permanent Residents (LPRs). Currently there's an exemption under PP 10014 for spouses of US citizens but spouses of LPRs are not included. LPRs are taxpayers as well, and deserve to be reunited with their loved ones.

DHS/FEMA Employee Igloo and portable sleeping PODS for housing and office space use at Disaster Field Operations facilities

DHS/FEMA should research the various plastic igloo Pods currently being utilized by restaurants for outdoor dining, for use as sleeping and working PODS for employees deployed to Disaster Field Operations facilities. Such facilities presently have difficulty keeping workers properly separated/distanced from COVID- 19 exposure.
