Immigration trending idea

My suggestion: stop separating children from parents at the US/Mexico border. I'm referring to illegal immigrants and asylum seekers, not unaccompanied minors. I suggest that aid organizations, NGOs and diplomatic personnel located in Mexico, Central America and South America inform residents that the United States is enforcing this policy.

Replace Mayorkas trending idea

Alejandro Mayorkas is an embarrassment to the US. His handling of the southern border is close to criminal. He has allowed the crisis at our border to continue without doing anything to stop it. Sections of the border have become trade routes for criminals, since Mayorkas ceded control of the border to the cartels. No other country in world has less border security than Mayorkas' border. His border policies seem to be... more »

VOTER VALIDATION FINGERPRINT READER, IRIS SCAN, OR TAKE A PICTURE trending idea

PURPOSE: Consider biometric scanners in voting centers.
-
CAPABILITY:
DHS has an Office of Biometric Identity Management (since 2013) that could (potentially) be used for the purpose of validating voting.
-
PUBLIC WILLINGNESS:
I would be perfectly willing to have my fingerprint read prior to voting (or iris scanned or picture taken in the alternative). I cannot think of any reason to be adverse to this, unless you... more »

Emergency Response Ayslum Requests trending idea

I realize your resources are limited by budget and statutory law, but may I suggest you consider developing a task force which could be deployed to the border to quickly process requests for asylum requests if there are large volumes of immigrants wishing to enter the country. Included in this task force could be representatives of FEMA who might erect temporary facilities to house the asylum seekers, food and medical... more »

Standing with r officers

As a former USCG federal law enforcement officer and a founding member of DHS I'm struggling with the fact that horse mounted officers r now riding a desk because they followed there training and protected our southern boarder.  Do not submit to the left wing media.  Stand with your officers.  What they did was well within the level of force guidelines and anybody in law enforcement knows it.

What Border Security

Why do you waste your time trying to protect our borders when the President does not support you?  I admire Customs Border Patrol Agents and feel sorry for you at the same time.

This is a crisis situation and the our President and VP do not care enough to give Border Security any support.

Your bosses need to DEMAND support!

Your bosses need to Demand the wall be built!

Your bosses need to demand we close the border... more »

Why are we demonizing border patrol

The uproar created by the photograph of the border agent on horseback grabbing the illegal border crosser baffles me! The agent's job is to prevent people illegally entering the US. Of course the he looked angry. There are overwhelming numbers crossing illegally. And "politely" asking an illegal crosser to "please stop, sir" is not going to work. I support immigration but controlled and legal immigration. The Haitians... more »

Call out Foreign Trolls Directly - Let the Public Know Who and What Actors are Malicious

While social media companies have recently stepped up their efforts to combat foreign influence on elections, more can be done to alert the public and to dismantle disinformation campaigns. Quacks and conspiracy theorists like Alex Jones or other weirdos should be called out and isolated. We should not allow messages from foreign facebook, twitter, instagram, or even harmful memes to become viral or otherwise influence... more »

Require all polling place computers have dot gov, instead of dot com

Chris Krebs, Head of Cyber Agency, DHS, was interviewed on NPR, All Things Considered," January 26, 2020, "Why Elections Officials Aren't Taking A Simple Security Step," by Miles Parks.

It was pointed out by Miles Parks that cybersecurity firm McAfee analyzed domain names, noted that a huge majority of states' counties had the much less secure dot com domain instead of the secure dot gov domain. In Texas 95% and in... more »

Supporting Border Officers

Please get back on your horses and protect our borders.  Left wing "outrage" is ruining this country and though neither party really reflects my political views completely, I feel we need strong protection from illegal immigration at the border.  Thanks for your leadership and for doing what you do.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION ISSUE USED TO SHUTDOWN OUR GOVERNMENT AND DISRUPT THE WHOLE COUNTRY

PROBLEM:
I cannot believe our whole country is being disrupted due to politicians putting illegal aliens before U.S. citizens. THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I AM APOLITICAL!!! The non-rational tribalism and disruptive grandstanding has to end, it is damaging our government, our security, and our economy. Foreign adversaries love it, these issues are disrupting normal businesses, supply chains and our overall society. It damages... more »

Build the damn wall. Materials on ground and paid for by taxpayer. Stop playing politics with your security, drugs and smuggling. It is tragic what the DHS is turning blind eye to on the border.
