The shootings in our schools is intolerable and people are desperate for a real solution, understandably so. Since we cannot prevent guns and other weapons from getting into the wrong hands, we must PROTECT our students, teachers, and staff with greater effectiveness and efficiency. And we need to do it NOW. (proposal attached)
Currently watching the Listening session on Mass shooting. They spoke upon entry into our schools is too easy. The ease of accessing a school are due to the many access points that students and staff use at any given moment. An individual can have student or staff member open one of these doors and by pass any safety check or main entrance. Or follow a student or students inside when the door is opened. Gun legislation may be helpful in the long term, but our students need to be protected now. This is about protection, not prevention. We can't prevent guns from getting into the wrong hands. But we can protect students and others.
