Pour soybean oil ahead of hurricanes to diminish their intensity or change their direction of travel by inhibiting evaporation.

Hurricanes feed on evaporation. This is why hurricanes move forward over warmer water and leave cooler water in their wakes. Soybean oil self-deploys over ocean water at a rate of between 0.1 and0.3 meters/second (depending upon wind direction).
