Border Security

This might be a cheaper more efficient way to handle the migrant and asylum seekers.

It is estimated that ICE detention facilities cost from $135 per day to at least $300 per day for a family bed. Some of these tent cities can charge up to $750 per day.

In a kill-two-birds-with-one-stone approach, we could help those in financial straights with the pandemic while we can offer a better detention solution for much cheaper for the taxpayer.

Immigration trending idea

The Constitution of the United States of America was written and signed by immigrants, for immigrants. "Land of the Free!" (…as slavery shamefully continued for many following generations.)

Some Americans boast of superiority, but reject those who seek the "American Dream." There is not one solitary reason a person or family flees to the United States of America. Some search for a better future; some for safety; some... more »

Request to protecting the Age of Child Under the 'Dates of Filing'

The USCIS Policy Manual, https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-7-part-a-chapter-7, states that only the 'Dates of Final Action Date (FAD)' protects the age of the child under the Child Status Protection Act (CSPA). If an I-485 application is filed pursuant to a 'Dates of Filing (DFF)' and the child ages out before the final date becomes available, the child will no longer be protected despite being permitted to file... more »

Foster care and Economic Stability

Regarding unaccompanied minors, for the short-term I recommend a "foster" like system where these children are placed with responsible adults in a regular home versus a "camp." More humanitarian and better for their mental health. More importantly though, it is obvious that economic stimulus is needed in Central America. How about a taskforce to help big manufacturers bring their work from China to Central America? Closer,... more »

Upholding the ORR

The DHS has defended policy that REQUIRES the state to separate children from their parents if they cross anywhere besides a port of entry, meaning these children, innocent save being born, will be passed into the Office of Refugee Resettlement.

The ORR, this week, both acknowledged it "lost track" of 1,475 children and refused to ensure policy changes to prevent this from happening. The staff at ORR maintain—reasonably—that... more »

Shots Fired

The continuous shootings that occur each year in certain neighborhoods in the City of Chicago is unacceptable. Innocent men, women and children are being shot and killed each day not to mention the other victims. It seems the local, state and federal levels have not put a plan in place to stop this senseless violence. These are terrorist acts being committed. I'm sure this will require a complex solution that may involve... more »
